Why is that, you might ask? Well our natural pH for our hair is in the range of 4.5 to 5.5. So any shampoo that has a pH higher than 5.5 is swelling the hair. Those shampoos that have a pH of 6.5 to 9 is really shortening your at-home color service, driving your natural moisture out and making your hair feel very rough.
